What are Wicked Fastpitch teams?
These teams play highly competitive softball at weekend tournaments during the summer at locations throughout the Bay Area and Northern California. How many tournamnets depends on the coach and the team.
The Wicked Fastpitch teams are a great way for girls who love softball to experience very competitive play. The players will develop new skills, while taking their game to a whole new level. It is more serious… but still great fun and an experience that they’ll never forget.
How are Wicked teams different from regular league play?
RCGSL league play focuses on girls having fun and learning new skills. For the Wicked teams, there is a greater emphasis on fielding competitive teams. There are no minimum playing time requirements for the players. The amount of playing time for each player will depend on her skill level, attitude, game day performance and the game situation. Players will likely be asked to specialize in particular positions. Tournament games are played according to ASA rules.
